1000 Cookies for Seacoast First Responders

Alliance for Greater Good uses cookies (and lots of them) to bring joy and appreciation to local first responders.

1000 Cookies for Seacoast First Responders

On Thursday, February 16, 2023, Alliance volunteers met at the Portsmouth Library to sort over 1000 homemade cookies. This was part of the Alliance's first ever Cookies for First Responders event-- an event to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Day. After sorting and filling 19 large trays, volunteers dropped off the cookies at 17 fire and police departments and the emergency room at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

"...you choose an awesome activity to celebrate Kindness (Random Acts of Kindness Day) this year. I loved being a part of it. Thank you." - Joan Correll, Volunteer

"We had an amazing response to our 'call for bakers' with volunteers from Ogunquit, ME to Hampton, NH. Plus, the Portsmouth Middle School took this on as a part of their Random Acts of Kindness Challenge Week and donated over three dozen cookies and whoopie pies. Given the response, we hope to hold this event again next year.” - Julie Johnson, Alliance President & Co-founder

A TOUGH cookie is one who doesn't crumble under pressure. A special thank you to our first responders for giving strength to so many. And thanks to our wonderful volunteers for spreading kindness and showing appreciation for what first responders do for our community.
